"The wisest and best teachers teach from the heart, not from the book."
Wowzers! Fourth Quarter is upon us. Report cards will be coming home on Tuesday. Please make sure to sign the envelope and return it so that I can reuse it for Fourth quarter. This way, I know that you have reviewed the report card and are aware of your child's accomplishments. As always, if you have any concerns regarding grades, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for the amazing job you did helping your kiddo to sell candy/magazines. All money came in on Thursday!
All MLK Jr. Bios are due on Friday and all Word Master 3 cards are due Tuesday the 26th. KindMinds have already written these due dates in their Agenda March calendars.
Many students are being pulled out of class for track, wrestling, Melodies, etc. Please check with your kiddo, daily, to make sure they are on top of things (idiom).
Another BIG DEAL that’s on the horizon is your student’s final “Think Like a Disciplinarian” Project!! You’ll be able to find a description of the project in your child’s homework folder just before Spring Break, along with a page for you to sign and return (indicating your awareness of the expectations). As always, it is my goal to have the students do as much of the project themselves as possible – both in class and at home – however, students who have yet to master time-management skills might very well fall behind quickly without reminders!! Check with your child on a regular basis to ensure that he/she does not end up buried come the end of April!!
FOURTH QUARTER UPDATES: All fines will now be 3$. Classroom jobs will be changing for the last time. To promote independence and responsibility, Students will no longer be allowed to use Rm. 19's phone to call home to ask parents to bring missing work, objects, etc.
Parents: Please make sure to do your part by checking those Green Folders every Monday night. It would also help to do a backpack check now and again. Many thanks to all Parents that do this weekly!
