Can you believe we start October this week? Parent Homework: 1. Please read the daily objectives I send to you. I have restructured it so that it is, hopefully, more accessible to students and parents. Everything students must complete and/or turn in is listed at the top of the page. 2. Check Atlas often 3. Please, if you were not able to attend, watch the Q and A recorded session. It is in the files of the "Parents" Channel. 4. Conference Week is the 19-23 with an early dismissal at 1 pm. Tomorrow is the First Day of Fall! Parent Homework: 1. Art begins this Wednesday. My class will be divided into 4 Art groups. Two groups will meet with the Art teacher this Wednesday and the other two will meet next Wednesday. Please check in with your student, their Agenda should state which group they are in and What time they meet with the Art teacher. 2. Since Art is during enrichment hours on Wednesdays, I will be switching my enrichment on Thursdays from Art to Science. Attendance is mandatory for both enrichment learning sessions (Art and Science). 3. Please attend tonight's Q and A at 7 pm. 4. We will continue this study on Mondays only, due to switching to our Informational Standards of Main Idea and Details, Sequencing and Text Features. NOW THAT STUDENTS ARE FAMILIAR WITH HOW TO COMPLETE AND TURN IN WORK DURING OUR ASYNCHRONOUS TIME, I WILL BE INCREASING THE RIGOR AND EXPECTATIONS FOR THE LAST THREE WEEKS OF THE QUARTER IN PREPARATINON FOR THE EXPECTATIONS FOR SECOND QUARTER. Parent Homework: 1. This Wednesday from 9-3, we are having an Art and Science supplies pick up. You will go to the library door and pick up your supplies there. Please make sure to say that you are picking up for Mrs. Kaufmann. Our Art with the art teacher begins on Sept. 23rd. If you can't make it on Wednesday, there will be a second pickup on Thursday from 9-12 for ART supplies ONLY. 2. I would like to hold a September Q and A withing the next week or so. Please text me within Dojo and let me know if you prefer weekday evenings or weekend evenings. 3. Progress reports and deficiency notices will be going out on Wednesday. I believe they are being emailed. But remember, you can access Atlas ANYTIME to know how your KindMind is doing in Third Grade. 4.
